QUEEN OF VERSAILLES, THE MUSICAL
The Broadway-aimed production will begin previews July 16, with the five-week engagement currently scheduled to continue through August 18. Alejandro will be the music assistant/rehearsal pianist. The stage musical is based on a 2012 documentary about billionaire Jacqueline Siegel. Kristin Chenoweth and composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz are together again. Featuring a book by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone, Amy and the Orphans) and direction by Tony Winner Michael Arden (Parade, Once on This Island), The Queen of Versailles will explore the cost of fame, fortune, and family. DEATH BECOMES HER, THE MUSICAL
Casting is now complete for the new stage musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her, which begins performances FALL 2024 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. Alejandro will be the assistant music director and rehearsal pianist for the upcoming production. Based on the 1992 film, the work features a book by TV writer-producer Marco Pennette and music and lyrics by Julia Mattison and Noel Carey. Tony winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) is directing and choreographing.
